I uninstalled VMWare Player 15, rebooted, and installed VirtualBox.

I was trying to compare VMware Player 15 to Hyper-V and VirtualBox to see which one I liked more. I'm running Windows 10 without the most recent feature update because it's not available for my PC yet. I had VMWare Player 15 working just fine on my PC roughly 2 hours ago. I'm stuck at this point and I'm not sure what else to do. No idea why I had to do it this way but it worked. I rebooted as necessary throughout this process. The vmnetwork adapters disappeared when I uninstalled pro but player was then successfully able to reinstall them again.

I then uninstalled Workstation Pro and reinstalled player. I could see them appear in my Device Manager finally. This successfully installed the vmnetwork adapters. That still didn't work so I installed VMWare Workstation pro WITHOUT uninstalling player first. It cleared out nearly 20GB's of unused/old driver files. I uninstalled everything VMWare Player that I could find and then ran the script. I found a small batch file that purges unused drivers from the DriverStor file in windows.
